We look at some of the top NFL Fantasy Football targets ahead of Week 10 of the season, including the Germany-bound New York Giants and Carolina Panthers...
Bengals tight end Mike Gesicki has emerged as the latest trusted target of Joe Burrow, particularly in the absence of wide receiver Tee Higgins. He erupted for five catches, 100 yards and two touchdowns from six targets in Sunday's win over the Las Vegas Raiders, following up his 73-yard outing against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week Eight. He has now been targeted 26 times in four games without Higgins as Burrow's next man up behind Ja'Marr Chase. Awaiting him is a Ravens defense that has given up 61 yards to David Njoku, 100 yards to Cade Otton and 68 yards to Zach Ertz as teams look to utilise their tight ends against Baltimore.
At his ball-fizzing best Justin Herbert really is one of the most exciting quarterbacks to watch in the league, recent signs pointing towards the Los Angeles Chargers play-caller rediscovering his destructive best. He threw for 282 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 27-10 victory over the Cleveland Browns, resuming his impressive early-season connection to the returning Quentin Johnston and beginning to show more downfield aggression as Jim Harbaugh and Greg Roman seek to balance out the effective ground game established over the first half of the season. He faces a Titans defense that, while ranking first in total yards and passing yards allowed this season, is down in 27th in scoring having also surpassed 5.0 fantasy points in just two games so far.
Giants quarterback Daniel Jones continues to be a head-scratching case study. For all of his struggles and glaring flaws, he just dropped 24.36 fantasy points against the Washington Commanders after throwing for 174 yards and two touchdowns while rushing seven times for 54 yards and a bruising touchdown run. His threat on the ground remains a go-to weapon for Brian Daboll, so when it is accompanied by a clean game through the air he looks a worthy quarterback option in fantasy. Sunday saw him throw his first touchdown pass at home since January 2023 for the Giants, so he is always a risk when counting in end zone production. With that said, he is about to head to Germany to take on the Carolina Panthers and their worst-ranked defense.
He has the best southern accent in the league and celebrates touchdowns by pretending to ride a horse; what is there not to like about Xavier Legette? The first-round rookie wide receiver had four catches from six targets for 33 yards and a touchdown against the New Orleans Saints in Week Nine, though did have a Bryce Young back-shoulder dime inexcusably ripped from his hands at the sideline that could have padded out a bigger day. He is easing into life in the NFL as much as can be possible within a struggling Panthers team, and now has a touchdown catch in three of his last four games as he prepares to take on a questionable Giants secondary.
The San Francisco 49ers are hopeful of getting Jauan Jennings back when they take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers following their bye in Week 10. Jennings has been nursing a hip injury but looks set to return to the line-up to help, partially, compensate for the loss of Brandon Aiyuk for the rest of the season. Jennings enjoyed a prolific patch earlier this season when he posted 11 catches from 12 targets for 175 yards and three touchdowns against the Los Angeles Rams followed by 88 yards from three receptions against the New England Patriots. He was then held to 40 yards combined over the next two weeks before being sideline through injury. Kyle Shanahan holds him in high regard and the 49ers are searching desperately for answers, one of which could come in the form of Christian McCaffrey's comeback after he returned to practice this week.
It may have been a quiet day on the ground for Ray Davis, but the Buffalo Bills running back played a starring role in his side's win over the Miami Dolphins with two catches for 70 yards including a 63-yard touchdown catch-and-run - the longest scoring reception by a Bills running back since C.J. Spiller on December 30, 2012. While James Cook will continue to see the bulk of production out of the backfield, fourth-round rookie Davis is emerging as a valuable complementary partner and yet another option for Josh Allen to exploit in the passing game.
